Your first appointment isn’t just about us getting to know you, but also you becoming familiar and comfortable with our practice.

Our team is happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have during your appointment. Our team will start your visit by asking a few questions about your medical and dental history. Certain medical conditions or medications may impact your treatment plan, so we will also ask you to list any medications you are taking and their dosages (including vitamins and supplements).

We will then perform a comprehensive oral exam. This may include x-rays and a non-invasive oral cancer screening. If no signs of periodontal disease are present, one of our skilled hygienists will continue with a routine dental cleaning. If we do notice signs of periodontal disease, we may ask you to reschedule the cleaning portion of your appointment to allow more time for a thorough cleaning.

Once your exam is finished, we will discuss our findings with you. Together, we will create a treatment plan to help you achieve and maintain a healthy, functional smile.

At Karren Dental, we want you to feel relaxed during your visit. We have TVs in our treatment rooms, and free WIFI available to help make your dental experience as pleasant as possible. Please let us know if there's anything we can do to make your appointment more comfortable!
